The launch will centre around three specific public presentations:

1. March 16, as guests of the Italian Cultural Institute, New York
2. March 18, as guests of the Italian Cultural Institute, Washington DC
3. March 19, as guests of the European-American Cultural Foundation Washington DC

 

This prestigious opportunity will introduce to America our plans to reconstruct and to restore to Venice the world’s first public opera house: the celebrated Teatro San Cassiano of 1637. Each evening will seek to bring to life the story, scholarship and vision behind the reconstruction and its impact on placing cultural patrimony at the heart of a sustainable future for Venice.

Naturally, there are a number of scheduled events, concerts to attend and meetings planned by way to promote and bring our historic project to America.

Most notably, we have invited a select group of guests to join us at Carnegie Hall, New York on 15 March, where our Ambassador Ann Hallenberg will sing the role of Dejanira in Handel’s amazing “musical drama” Hercules (London, King’s Theatre, 1745) with The English Concert: Carnegie Hall.
