New partnership with the Fondazione Levi

With the end of 2021 approaching, we are particularly pleased to announce a new partnership, this time with the prestigious Fondazione "Ugo e Olga Levi" in Venice

The “Fondazione Ugo e Olga Levi per gli studi musicali onlus”, established in 1962, focuses on both musicological and ethnomusicological research in the Veneto, national and European fields, as well as cataloguing and studying musical collections. In addition to these activities, a thriving editorial trend and an intense concert schedule have developed over the years. The Foundation, always in synergy with the world of education, conservatories and universities, has become a much valued point of reference for the numerous organisations committed to spreading culture throughout Italy and beyond.

We naturally wish to express our heartfelt thanks to Giorgio Busetto and Roberto Calabretto, of the Fondazione "Levi", for having seized this opportunity for synergy with the Teatro San Cassiano, and to Cristiano Contadin (our consigliere), Francesco Bellotto and Francesco Erle—all of our partner, the Conservatorio “Benedetto Marcello” di Venezia—for their valued roles in achieving this successful outcome.

A special thanks also to our consigliere, Prof. Marco Bizzarini, who led our presentation of the Teatro San Cassiano project, and from whom we sought this brief comment on the value of this partnership:

“The Fondazione Ugo e Olga Levi in Venice is today an international point of reference for musicological research. Based in the Palazzo Giustinian Lolin, near the Accademia bridge, the Foundation houses a library dedicated by statute to the "historical studies of music of all countries and of all times". Interest in musical theatre of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries is very lively among its research groups. For all these reasons, the Fondazione “Levi” is undoubtedly an ideal partner for the Teatro San Cassiano”

This partnership reaffirms our commitment to our future awareness, education and outreach programmes, which firmly place the young students of Venice firmly at the forefront of the Teatro San Cassiano project.
